Strategy
- EPCA is active in the chemical business at large. It operates for and through its members that are chemical producers, their service providers, their customers and their suppliers. EPCA is a service provider for its members, driven by customer satisfaction. Company members participate in the board, the logistics committee and working groups in accordance with the EPCA statutes.
- EPCA offers to its members a quality platform to meet.
- This happens via an annual meeting at which members have access to networking facilities during three to four days in the venue selected by EPCA. In the business sessions global subjects of general interest are debated by renown top quality speakers recognized as forming part of the brightest minds or leaders in the world.
- This also happens via seminars, round table sessions and working groups where specific subjects of interest to the industry are debated, analysed and promoted. These platforms are open to members and non-members and may be cross-sector.
EPCA’s meeting venues are located in Europe.
- EPCA is a communication platform between members and stakeholders. EPCA continuously works on increasing its visibility via the web, co-operation with the press, publications and other communication tools. EPCA takes ownership of its achievements and communicates with all stakeholders about what it has performed.
- EPCA organizes think tanks and smaller workshops in which external parties (experts, academics, politicians, authorities, opinion leaders) participate together with members. In these smaller groups supply chain and other industry issues as selected by the board are addressed (also broader than petrochemicals and cross-sector).
- EPCA organizes, participates in, sponsors or promotes projects selected by the Board, with support of the membership, as being of interest to the industry. ECTA (The European Chemical Transport Association) is such a project.
- EPCA is to promote via focused action that the chemical industry is a good industry to work for. EPCA should do this in particular in its contacts with the academic world and with other stakeholders. As such EPCA is to contribute to the improvement of the image of the industry.
- EPCA co-ordinates its activities with Cefic and other industry driven associations like NPRA, APLA, APIC and GPCA. Each organisation focuses on its statutory activities. Optimisation of resources and co-operation have to be achieved.
